Burning Waves

This was taken a few months back in Phuket.

The sky burnt with glorious colors for about 30 seconds then faded to darkness almost as fast. Very spectacular.

Boats

Someone recently told me black and white pictures look depressing. Perhaps.

Sunset Rocks

Taken at Lower Pierce Reservoir.

Out At Sea

When I saw this, I tried to imagine how peaceful it would be out there on the boat.

Then I realized the clouds weren’t going to hold out that much longer.

I changed my mind pretty quickly when it started raining minutes later.

Beach Boy

I spent the last weekend in Bintan.

If you’ve never been there, Bintan is an Indonesian island with resorts that are unashamedly lacking in character but makes it up with rather pretty beaches. From the “International” buffet lunches to the “cultural show” performed over dinner, this place feels like a retirement home on steroids.

Nonetheless, it was a good break away from real life just spending time in the pool, getting a massage and catching up on lost sleep.

I got this shot just as the sun was calling it a day and as I walked along the beach, I saw this boy who couldn’t seem to get enough of the waves.

After The Race

Taken last Sunday after everyone left. The waters are peaceful again. For the next few months, at least.

Some Assembly Required

These boys put in the most work to make the races happen.

Easy

That’s the only word we’re waiting for the coach to say when we’re rowing. It means the ordeal is over and you look up to see whether you’ve won or lost.

Had a race yesterday and our team finished 3rd in a rather tough category.

I returned today to snap a few pictures and got this one. I know exactly what those rowers were feeling right there.

Flying

This picture, and the past two were taken at East Coast Cable-ski Park last Sunday.
