Venus Fly Trap

They’re a gift from Lia. The one in front is named Dolores, and the one in the background is Lolita.

Congratulations!

The past seven day’s lensbaby theme was quite fun, and the best part was, I’ve actually completed this little assignment and resumed my 365 again.

From tomorrow onwards for the next seven days, the theme is food.

Camera stuff

Finally packed all my camera stuff into one box. Now you know which box to take if you’d break into my house.

Not Fast

Taken with a Lensbaby.

Neglected

Hello.

It’s been almost 17 days since I last posted.  My apologies, I was in India and though I’ve been back for a week, I’m still going through the 2000 pictures I took over there and needless to say, that’s taking slightly longer than I had expected. Continue Reading →

Guitar

Had a long night playing a few songs for a friend’s birthday party.  After the set, we all sat around and strummed some random songs.  Before I knew it, everyone was singing along from every table in the cafe..  Magical.  Truly a night to remember.

MBP

My window to the rest of the world. Also, testing various effects of some iPhone apps.

Tuning Head

Spending more and more time with the guitar. Never seen a tuning head so big before.

Stormtrooper Keychain

Found this bugger somewhere in the office today. It’s mine now.

Cut It Up

One step closer to financial freedom.

Another New Year’s Resolution

2010. Yes, we all know by now that our lives crossed over to the new year yesterday.

I’ve spent the past few days and a large part of today still wondering how this year will affect the rest of my life.  On the personal front, it’s going to be a year of change.  If there’s one point in time I’m looking forward to, is 364 days from now.

This year’s resolution is simple:

Love, laugh, learn and let go. Continue Reading →

Empty Bowl

First memory of 2010. A bowl of pasta I made for dinner on 31st Dec, reheated for supper around 2am on 1st Jan. Strangely, it tasted better the 2nd time around. Maybe I had a little too much to drink.

Goodbye 2009

At the tail end of 2009, I’m hoping next year will be better than this year.

Happy holidays!

Not by a Long Shot

Just about this time last night, my car got towed away.

I was involved in my first traffic accident.

I collided with a car as I was turning out from a slip road.

Two seconds before impact, I had an ominous glimpse a pair of headlights staring right at me.

One second before impact, I had flashbacks. I always thought it was a cliche but apparently, it’s not. Not this time at least.

Half a second before impact, I hit the brakes as hard as I could.

Bang.

Everything slowed. Continue Reading →

Albums That Changed My Life

Apparently this is going around facebook, but I read it here.  First, instructions:

List 25 albums that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that no matter what they were thought of musically shaped your world. When you finish, tag 15 others, including me. Make sure you copy and paste this part so they know the drill. Get the idea now? Good. Tag, you’re it!

The challenge: do this in fifteen minutes; as if nobody is judging your answers…

Here’s my list: Continue Reading →

Esperanza

The word means “hope” in Spanish and oh, such a beautiful name for a beautiful lady.

Esperanza Spalding is a 24 years old jazz bassist and singer. I don’t know about you, but a chick wielding a double bass is just too sexy. Continue Reading →

Remembering iTools

iTools was the first internet service provided by Apple, and that was a significant landmark in the evolution and history of Apple. iTools marked the first attempt by Apple to provide it’s users with a space and purpose in the online realm – this was back in 2000. As a value-added service, Every Mac OS 8 or 9 user then could have an email that ends with “@mac.com”, and it was totally free! Continue Reading →

Grilled Short Ribs

I think that beef short ribs is one of the understated cuts of the bovine. Its cheap and it comes with multipurpose bone. Bone-in always makes the meat taste better when cooked, and the little bones also makes a good handle for you to eat with your hands (which in my books, makes any food taste better already).
