Flying

This picture, and the past two were taken at East Coast Cable-ski Park last Sunday.

Little Lights

I really like the bokeh in the background.

Ankle Biter

This was taken a few months back when I went to visit my mum.

He’s my first pet and is now over 15 years old. Likes the kitchen floor and loves inflicting pain on my ankles.

The treatment of the pic is very inspired by some of the pictures on Mute.

Four Four Two

Since it’s football season, I thought I’d post something appropriate.

Black and White

I was quite perturbed by my 19 year-old intern’s choice of footwear.

Also, the white sneaker reminds me of a Canon L lens.

Companion

Not technically my best picture, but I think it’s a great moment between two people. Go and give your friend a hug today. I know I will.

Spikes

This got picked by my photography class instructor as one of the best shots from the recent shoot.

However, I feel the lack of a foreground and background interest makes it look a little flat and honestly, a little boring. But I do kinda like how the triangles creates a ripple effect across the structure.

So I’m quite iffy about this one. Happy to hear your thoughts so please leave me a comment below.

Stamford

Went for a photography class today and couldn’t resist this (almost cliche) shot of the iconic Sir Stamford Raffles statue against the dramatic clouds.

The Flame

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.”
- Plutarch.

My mind is just a candle flame.

The Warmth

Found this lying in my photo library. This was taken last year at the Esplanade bridge early in the morning.

The Mask

I think this looks better in black and white.

Hello There

Found this furry thing staring back at me through a small crack in the door.

Borneo Sunset

Every night before I fly off, I wish I can see another sunset like this again.
This was taken about 9 months ago in Borneo.

Mr Wright

Had an opportunity to meet Ian when he was in Singapore last week. He came by the office to say hi and brought a whole barrel of laughs. Ian is the same on or off camera, which is something I can’t say for most personalities I’ve met.

He’ll be swinging by again really soon and I’ll try and get more pics the next time.

Young Grasshopper

Walked around the estate with my 7D & 100mm Macro and saw this lil’ bugger enjoying lunch.

Burp

Fed one of my girls yesterday with an unsuspecting moth.  If you look at the trap on the extreme left, you can see the silhouette of her lunch.

Circle of life.

A Dog’s Life

Sometimes, I envy my dog’s ability (and time) to nap the day away. Perhaps somewhere along their domestication process, they’ve learnt the art and science of balancing work, play and rest. It appears that we have as much to learn from them as they learn how we’d like them to fetch. Continue Reading →

ILT

Dinner was nothing to shout about and lunch was impossible to shoot (and even much less to shout about), so here’s a pic of my secret indulgence. An ice cold can of this just makes the day slightly better.

Venus Fly Trap

They’re a gift from Lia. The one in front is named Dolores, and the one in the background is Lolita.

Congratulations!

The past seven day’s lensbaby theme was quite fun, and the best part was, I’ve actually completed this little assignment and resumed my 365 again.

From tomorrow onwards for the next seven days, the theme is food.
