The past two weeks were pretty eventful.  I spent a quiet new year’s eve at home, waking in the morning of 1st Jan to bad news.  Sarah’s grandmother passed away in the middle of the night.

Bless her.

At about 3 am on the 5th, I woke up in the middle of the night with a very high fever and headed straight for A&E to be warded.  What I thought was viral fever turned out to be a case of an inflamed appendix and I had to rest for 3 days.  I’m quite recovered by now – the fever and the pain in my abdomen are all gone gone gone, thanks to some serious antibiotics.

My mum thinks a large part of my appendix woes is because of all the food I consumed in Taipei when I was there just before Christmas.  Who knows?

Well, I hope 2009 works out good from now on.  This year I’m going to be more focused and have some things I’d like to accomplish.  Yes yes, resolutions.  Every year I make more of ‘em but seldom tick everything off.  This year, I’ll try keeping it simple:

Love.  Laugh.  Learn.

Have a great 2009 ahead!
