Congratulations America.  I had my doubts but in the end, you came through.

8 years is enough.  US$10 Trillion in federal debt is enough.  It’s time for a change and change has come.

I hope under your new President:

You will go into surplus instead of debt.  It’ll do you and the rest of the world good.

You will end the pointless ideological war and stop the needless loss of lives.

You will command the respect from the rest of world, rather than fight to get it.

You will realize that the world is not just you, China and Russia.  There are 191 others recognized by your own State Department.

You will realize that moving towards an unfamiliar horizon is sometimes better than being stuck in another stinking Bush.

To John McCain the defeated, maybe the jokes will end now that it’s official.  But you put up a good fight, despite the odds.  I hope you will retire now and leave the country to recover from the damage your party inflicted in the past 8 years.

OK, maybe the jokes won’t end yet.

Here’s to you, America.

I’m sorry but is that a dream? I seriously do not believe Obama can erase the debt. Clinton exited with debt. Bush made it worst. If Obama can erase the debt in 8 years, it’s a miracle and you can start praying to Obama the God. And some things just isn’t so easy to comprehend. There’s probably threats to assess. Who is to say Obama will not pursue the same war policy?

10 trillion in 8 years is urm kinda impossible. Incidentally, why do you use American spelling??? :P

    See here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_debt_by_U.S._presidential_terms

Clinton inherited a debt left by Bush Snr of 66.2% debt/GDP. Old Bill left office with 57.4% debt/GDP. Bush Jr is projected to leave the oval office with 68.2% debt/GDP – highest since 1955.

True, Obama might not be able to erase debt. But could McCain have a better plan to? Remember he would rather spend on the war than on the economy. You decide. America already did.

Lol. This is not a discussion about whether McCain can do a better job, but whether those things are just dreams? I think its best to leave Obama and let him prove himself.
